Kate Mothes is an experienced art curator and editor with a diverse background in both online and community-focused arts initiatives. Currently serving as an Editorial Contributor for Pardon Inc. and as Founder and Editor of Dovetail Magazine, Mothes explores the intersection of visual art and place. Additionally, Mothes contributes as a Contributing Editor for Colossal and leads Young Space, which promotes early-career artists. Previous roles include consulting for The Bubbler program at Madison Public Library, serving as Retail Coordinator at Collective, and bookselling at Half Price Books. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in History of Art from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
