Patrick Brown

Patrick Brown has been in the book industry since 2000. Patrick started as a Manager at Book Soup Bookstore, where their duties included customer service, scheduling shift breaks, delegating duties and closing the store. In 2008, they moved to Vroman's Bookstore as Webmaster. In 2010, they joined Goodreads.com as Director of Author Marketing, where they managed the Goodreads Author Program, worked with authors and publishers, and launched several new products for authors. Patrick also served as the Director of Community, overseeing customer care and site and content moderation teams, and was a public spokesperson for Goodreads. In 2017, they moved to Amazon as Sr. Product Manager. In 2021, they joined Thistle as Director of Product and Principal Product Manager.

Patrick Brown received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago in 1999, majoring in Film/Cinema/Video Studies. Patrick then went on to obtain a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the University of Southern California in Film Production.
