Patrick Ryan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the maritime and legal sectors. Currently serving as Sustainability Director at UK P&I Club since February 2021, Patrick is responsible for developing and communicating sustainability strategies. Concurrently, Patrick holds the position of Head of Secretariat, overseeing secretariat activities at the club. Since May 2019, Patrick has also worked as a Senior Claims Executive at Thomas Miller, managing various claims for the UK P&I Club and the UK Defence Club while engaging in sustainability projects. Prior experience includes roles as a Lawyer and Casualty Investigator/Manager at Ince & Co from September 2010 to April 2019, specializing in shipping and yachting disputes, and serving as a Warfare Officer in the Royal Navy for 11 years, qualifying for surface-ship command. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Durham University and has completed the Legal Practice Course and Postgraduate Diploma in Law at BPP Law School.
