Michael Leitner

Michael Leitner has extensive experience in the field of optical coherence tomography (OCT) and management, currently serving as Manager Systems Solutions Europe at Thorlabs since October 2013, with prior roles including Manager OCT Sales and Solutions, Product and Sales Manager OCT, and Head of OCT Applications. Prior to Thorlabs, Michael worked at Recendt GmbH as R&D Group Manager, leading the "Optical Coherence Tomography" group. Academic experience includes positions as a Marie Curie Fellow and Research Assistant at University of Kent and INESC Porto, focusing on low coherence interferometry and OCT. Michael holds an M.Sc. in Management for Engineers from LIMAK Austrian Business School, a Ph.D. in Physics from Universidade do Porto, and a Mag. rer. nat in Physics from University of Graz.
