John Dong

John Dong has a strong background in engineering, with experience in software development, automation, and design. Their most recent role is as a Perception Software Engineer at Thread, where they are responsible for leveraging data-driven technology to automate inspection workflows and create digital asset catalogs. Prior to that, they worked at Navitar, Inc. as an Automation and Design Engineer, where they developed image processing software and designed automated systems for testing. John also has experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Navitar and the Rochester Institute of Technology. John has interned at the Surgical Navigation and Robotics Laboratory at Harvard and began their engineering career as an Apprentice Mechanical Design Engineer at the 21st Century Group. John also completed a co-op at BorgWarner Inc. as a VCT Product Development Engineering Co-op.
