David Marek

David Marek is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in venture capital and corporate finance. Currently serving as the Managing Partner at Tachles VC, David focuses on early-stage investments in cyber, cloud, and AI startups, particularly those from Israel. As a co-founder and board member of CITIF, David is actively involved in transforming the Czech economy through innovative practices in technology. David has held key positions at Springtide Ventures, where responsibilities included strategy execution and portfolio management, and has served on the boards of various technology companies such as NetOp.Cloud, Cognni, and ThreatMark. Previous roles include Chief Workout Officer at Česká exportní banka and senior management positions at BCR and MANAG, a.s. David holds advanced degrees in International Business and Financial Economics from prestigious institutions, including Prague University of Economics and Business.
