Sam Placette

Sam Placette has over a decade of work experience. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as an independent contractor. From 2010 to 2012, they were the Front End Lead at TIPPR.com and the CTO at GarageFairy.com. In 2012, they were a Software Developer at MapMyFitness. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Senior Software Developer at Pearson eCollege and a Software Engineering Team Lead at Envysion. In 2016, they were the Director of Platform Technology at Karmies. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Gloo and an Application Engineer and Director of Engineering at ThreatX. Most recently, they were a Co-founder of Blooming Beets Kitchen in 2014, where they were responsible for creating a health-focused restaurant with a focus on natural and locally sourced foods.

Sam Placette attended Elkins High School before completing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2007.
