Ian Friedman

Ian Friedman is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in investment and technology. Currently serving as an Independent Board Member and member of the Audit Committee at thredUP since August 2015, Friedman has also been a Partner, Managing Director, and Co-Head of Technology Investing at L Catterton from September 2022 to April 2025, where responsibilities included co-leading investments in technology companies. Previous roles include Chief Executive Officer at Highland Transcend Partners, Co-Head at Goldman Sachs Investment Partners, and Private Equity Investor at Bain Capital, along with an early career as an Associate at Boston Consulting Group. Friedman holds an MBA in Business Administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Ivey Business School at Western University.
