John Freidl

John Freidl is the VP of Automated & Industrial Engineering at thredUP. John was previously the VP of Operations / Director of Manufacturing at Liquidity Nanotech Corporation from January 2011 to December 2016. At Liquidity, they were responsible for engineering design, development, installation, and operation of all manufacturing equipment and production processes. John led the transition of electro-spinning process from a university research lab into volume manufacturing.

Some of John's notable accomplishments include contributing to Liquidity receiving the 2014 Tech Crunch Award for the most innovative new product and designing and building all test and fabrication equipment that was required to assemble the proprietary filtration cartridge for the consumer water bottle product. Under John's leadership, the company developed lab and pilot production electro-spinning equipment capable of meeting FDA requirements for bacteria removal from water.

John Freidl earned a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.

They are on a team with Dan DeMeyere - Chief Product Officer, Michael Santhanam - VP, Engineering, and Sean Sobers - CFO. Their manager is James Reinhart, Founder & CEO.
