Tess Kornfield

Tess Kornfield has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Tess is currently working at thredUP, where they started in 2015. Tess has held multiple positions within the company, starting as a Data Scientist and working their way up to the role of VP, Data and Analytics. Before joining thredUP, Tess was a Fellow at Insight Data Science for a brief period in 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC Berkeley, focusing on analyzing data from the Berkeley Aging Cohort Study. Tess also has experience as a Doctoral Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota, where their research focused on understanding the link between neuronal activity and blood flow in the rat retina. Additionally, they founded and organized a company called Broad Impacts and served as a Staff Research Associate at the Center for Imaging of Neurodegenerative Diseases, UCSF. Tess brings a wealth of expertise in data analysis and research to their current role as VP, Data and Analytics at thredUP.

Tess Kornfield has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology from UC San Diego. Additionally, they hold a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota.
