David Cooper is currently the Stream and Wetland Group Leader at Three Oaks Engineering, a position they have held since 2025. Prior to this, David worked as a Senior Environmental Scientist at VHB from 2014 to 2025, where they oversaw protected species inventories and stream and wetland delineations. They also served as an Environmental Scientist and Project Manager at Soil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. from 2007 to 2014, focusing on habitat determinations and mitigation projects. Earlier in their career, David was the Museum Curator at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences from 1999 to 2007, where they were responsible for the husbandry of live exhibit amphibians and reptiles and managed volunteers. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from North Carolina State University, obtained in 1999.
