Jim Smith

Jim Smith has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Jim has held various roles starting from Web Developer at Band Digital, Inc. in 2009, where they focused on developing custom websites and managing projects. Jim then worked as a Freelance Web Developer at Euro RSCG and Band Digital, Inc., focusing on front-end development, maintenance of legacy systems, and creating scripts for internal tasks.

In 2011, Jim worked as a Freelance Rails Developer at Design Kitchen, building custom websites and developing JavaScript APIs. Jim also worked as a Freelance Web Developer at Band Digital, Inc., providing updates for a legacy application and managing developers.

From 2012 to 2014, Jim served as the CTO at Smarteys, where they developed the latest version of the Smarteys website and coordinated design efforts. Jim also conducted technology audits and migrated data from the previous site.

Jim then joined Computer Bits, Inc. in 2013 as a Senior Application Developer, working on migrating an existing site from .NET to Ruby on Rails and performing data transformation tasks. Jim also worked as a Freelance Rails Developer, focusing on data migration and transforming databases.

From 2015 to 2016, Jim served as a Senior Application Developer at CerteDrive, and from 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at Elevator Up.

Jim's most recent role is at ThreeFlow, where they started in 2017. Jim has held positions as a Senior Software Engineer, Team Lead - Back-End Engineering, Interim Engineering Manager, and currently as a Staff Engineer.

Jim Smith received their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Graphics Technology from Purdue University between the years 2002 and 2006. During their time at Purdue, they also pursued minors in Computer Technology and Organization Leadership & Supervision. In 2016, Jim attended coLearning Professional Education to obtain a User Design Experience degree.
