Jimmy Evans

Jimmy Evans is an experienced video editor and videographer currently working with Environmental Health Sciences and Ignite Now Media. With a strong background in film production, Jimmy independently filmed episodes of American Dream TV for major networks like CNBC and Discovery TV, utilizing advanced filming equipment including 4K cameras and drones. Additionally, as a 360 photographer and tour creator at Threshold 360, Jimmy has developed immersive experiences for over a hundred locations in northeast Florida. As the founder and programming coordinator of the Gainesville Latino Film Festival, Jimmy oversees the Short Film Competition and manages event logistics. A non-fiction filmmaker with notable works like "Naturally Selected," Jimmy has contributed to multiple platforms, including PBS. Previous roles include video news correspondent, production assistant, and research intern, demonstrating versatility within the film and media industry. Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Florida, complemented by a certificate in Latin American Studies from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
