Derek Harris

Derek Harris is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as the Director of the Student Internship Program and the Assertive Community Treatment Team Leader at Thresholds since May 2015. With a background in managing a clinical team and providing individual therapy, Derek has also held roles such as Managed Care Coordinator, Crisis Assessor, and Outreach and Education Trainer at various organizations, including Sertoma Centre, Inc. and Northwestern University. In addition, Derek contributes to the academic field as a University Supervisor for counseling students at The Family Institute at Northwestern University and has a rich history of involvement in community education and training in mental health topics. Derek holds a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Theology from Trinity Christian College.
