Imani Downer

Imani Downer is an experienced professional with a background in education and crisis response. Imani served as a Training and Prevention Specialist in the Office of Student Protections and Title IX at Chicago Public Schools from October 2022 to October 2023. Prior to this role, Imani was a Peer Teacher at Lake Forest College for a brief period in June to July 2022. Currently, Imani works as a Crisis Worker on the Mobile Crisis Response Team at Thresholds, starting in November 2023. Imani holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Lake Forest College, one in African-American/Black Studies and the other in Experimental Psychology, both completed between 2018 and 2022.
