Yael Hoffman

Yael Hoffman serves as a Crisis Care Counselor at the University of Chicago, starting in September 2023, where assessment and treatment of students in mental health crises is a primary responsibility. Concurrently, Yael operates as a psychotherapist in private practice at Know Grow Heal, specializing in trauma, anxiety, and personality disorders, utilizing an integrative therapeutic approach. With extensive experience, including a role as a Crisis Clinician at Thresholds and a Project Manager for various initiatives at UChicago Medicine and the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, Yael's background includes grant writing and administration within mental health and public health sectors. Yael holds dual master's degrees in public health and social work from the University of Michigan, complemented by undergraduate degrees in communications and musical theatre from the same institution.
