Riaz M. has been in the software engineering industry since 1993. Riaz began their career as a Software Engineer at Data Access Worldwide in 1993, and then went on to found Mertech Data Systems, Inc. in 1996. As the Founder and CEO of Mertech, Riaz was responsible for developing the core architecture of Mertech's Flex2SQL database drivers, which are now being used in mission-critical applications by over 12000 companies worldwide. In 2016, Riaz founded Thriftly.io, a company that simplifies the process of transforming monolithic, Windows-based applications into service-oriented cloud-native or hybrid cloud applications. As the Founder and CEO of Thriftly, Riaz is responsible for setting the company's short-term course and long-term direction.
Riaz M. attended NED University of Engineering and Technology from 1985 to 1990, where they obtained a BS in Computer Systems Engineering. Riaz then attended Florida International University from 1991 to 1993, where they obtained a MS in Computer Engineering. In 2007, Riaz M. attended Stanford University and completed an Executive Program for Growing Companies in Business Administration and Management, General.
