Alan Blanchard

Alan Blanchard is the Chief Scientific Officer at Thrive Bioscience, Inc., a company they co-founded in 2014. Their career includes significant contributions to DNA sequencing technology, starting with their role as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Washington from 1993 to 1997. Alan has held various influential positions, including Senior Director of Technology Development at Rosetta Inpharmatics and Director of Research at Agencourt Personal Genomics, where they were one of the inventors of the SOLiD sequencing system. They earned a Ph.D. at the California Institute of Technology, where they also completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics.
