Richard Black

Richard Black has extensive work experience in the field of nutrition and scientific research. Richard is currently serving as the Chief Scientific Officer at WISEcode, a position they have held since July 2022. Prior to their current role, Richard worked as a Principal at Quadrant D Consulting starting from March 2016. Richard was also an Adjunct Professor at The Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University, starting from January 2017.

Richard has held various leadership positions in the industry, including being the Chief Nutrition Advisor and Executive Partner at Pilot Lite Ventures and Care4ward respectively, from June 2016 to July 2022. Richard was the VP Global Nutrition Sciences at PepsiCo from January 2013 to March 2016 and held the position of VP Nutrition, Chief Nutrition Officer at Mondelēz International from February 2005 to January 2013 and again from October 2012 to January 2013.

Before joining Mondelēz International, Richard served as the Executive Director at the International Life Sciences Institute, North America from August 2001 to February 2005. Richard also worked as the Head of Research, Nutrition at Novartis Consumer Health from November 1999 to April 2001. Richard's work experience demonstrates their expertise and leadership in the nutrition and scientific research field.

Richard Black has an education history that includes a high school diploma from Erindale Secondary School, which was obtained between 1972 and 1977. Between 1977 and 1989, they attended McMaster University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Psychology, and Psychology. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from McMaster University between 1983 and 1985. Later, they completed a PhD in Psychology at McMaster University as well.
