Brian Maloney has a diverse work experience in the field of IT security. Brian began their career at ABC Printers as a Network Consultant in 2013. Brian then joined ProBuild Holdings as an IT Assistant in 2012 and later took on the role of Door Tech. In 2014, Brian joined Oshkosh Corporation as an IT Security Intern, and then progressed to the position of Assoc IT Security Analyst III before becoming an Engineer in Cyber Security. Most recently, they worked at Thrivent as a Sr. Cyber Security Engineer and is currently serving as the Lead IT Security Analyst.
Brian Maloney earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Networking Systems from ITT Technical Institute-Green Bay in 2013. Brian then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems and Cybersecurity at the same institution, completing it in 2015. In terms of certifications, they obtained the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification in January 2016, followed by the GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) certification in January 2019. Additionally, they obtained the GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) certification in October 2017. Brian has also received training in Autopsy Basics and Hands-On from Autopsy and Cyber Triage DFIR Training and Windows Malware and Memory Forensics from The Volatility Foundation.
