Christopher Chapman

Christopher (Chris) Chapman has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Christopher (Chris) is currently working as the SVP Chief Information Officer Commercial at Thrivent since August 2021. Prior to that, they held roles at TCF Bank, where they served as the EVP, Chief Operating Officer/Chief Information Officer National Banking from October 2017 to July 2021, and as the EVP, CIO Retail Banking and Corporate Services from June 2015 to October 2017.

Before their time at TCF Bank, Chris was an Independent Executive Consultant in 2015, where they advised executives on technology strategy, with a focus on ERP strategy, mobile adoption, and other technology trends.

From 2007 to 2014, they worked at Target, first as the Vice President of Target Technology Services, responsible for maintaining the application portfolio for US retail. Christopher (Chris) then served as the Senior Director of Target Technology Services, where they established package software and software as a service strategy and delivery for the corporation, and led the first SAP implementation at Target.

In 2007, Chris briefly worked at Allianz Life as the Vice President of Finance Transformation, responsible for developing financial shared services and implementing leading practices. Earlier in their career, they also held roles at Allianz Life as the Vice President of IT Finance and the Director of COE Application Services.

In 2001, Chris worked at Best Buy as the Program Delivery Director E-commerce, leading the development and implementation of a multi-channel e-commerce platform.

Their career began at Capgemini in 1995, where they served as a Manager leading teams delivering system integration services to clients in the Financial Services and Manufacturing industries.

Before joining Capgemini, Chris worked as a System Software Engineer at System Software Associates, where they were responsible for software development process migration.
