Matthew Parent

Matthew Parent, FSA, MAAA has worked at Thrivent since 2003. In their roles at Thrivent, they have served as a Compliance Analyst at WySTAR Global Retirement Solutions in 2002. Matthew has also held positions such as Actuarial Analyst, Staff Actuary, and Manager, focusing on health valuation, statutory reserves, embedded value, financial reporting and planning. Currently, Matthew is working as the Director of Actuary at Thrivent since January 2022.

Matthew Parent, FSA, MAAA completed their education with a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Minnesota Duluth from 2000 to 2002, following their earlier completion of a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the same institution from 1996 to 2000.
