Teressa Hackenmiller

Teressa Hackenmiller is an experienced Engagement Leader at Thrivent since January 2015, where the focus is on creating connections between individuals, families, churches, non-profits, and Thrivent to foster mutual support and positive impact. Teressa also served as a Financial Associate, guiding clients in developing strategies to achieve financial goals such as life insurance, retirement savings, and charitable giving. Prior experience includes working as a Para Educator at Cedar Rapids School District, supporting students in a kindergarten classroom and providing substitute teaching across various grade levels. From 2011 to 2012, Teressa contributed as a Professional Development Specialist at Discovery Education, training educators on utilizing technology and social media to enhance classroom engagement. Teressa holds a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa.
