Tom Birr

Tom Birr serves as the Director of Suitability & Surveillance at Thrivent Financial, a position held since June 2003. In this role, Tom is responsible for leadership, expense management, and the development of processing and support strategies related to suitability and business surveillance. Tom has a strong background in risk management and business process analysis, having previously held positions such as Manager of Risk Control Services and Compliance Specialist at AIG from 2001 to 2003. Tom's education includes training from The Center For Exceptional Leadership™ at St. Norbert College and studies at UW-Green Bay.
