Heather Payne

Heather Payne has extensive experience in mental health counseling and bereavement support, with a career spanning over two decades. From May 1998 to January 2023, Heather served as the Pediatric/Pregnancy Bereavement Coordinator at Lee Memorial Health System, providing grief support and counseling to families who experienced the loss of a child. More recently, Heather has held positions as a Licensed Professional Counselor at Thriveworks and MDLIVE, and as a Certified Animal Assisted Play Therapist at Delta Family Counseling, LLC, where the use of a therapy dog enhances client interactions. Additionally, Heather is licensed as a Mental Health Counselor and registered as a Play Therapist, offering services across all age groups. Educational qualifications include a BSN in Nursing Science from Nova Southeastern University and a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University.
