Trish McCarty, LCSW, currently serves as a counselor specializing in individual and couple’s therapy at Thriveworks since April 2021. Previously, Trish worked at Williamsville Wellness as a therapist in a residential addiction treatment center and at VCU Health as a clinical social worker. Additional experience includes facilitating Intensive Outpatient (IOP) groups at the Family Counseling Center for Recovery and providing mental health and treatment coordination at First Home Care. Trish has also interned in various roles at Marine Corps Community Services Quantico, Ascend Hospice, and Project Return, focusing on support for individuals with mental health needs. Trish holds a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Arts in Art from the University of Tampa. Trish also has a background as a Marine Musician, performing in military ceremonies.
