Bob Choate's work experience begins in 1993 with Lotus Development/IBM, where they served as the Director of World Wide Business Development. Bob played a key role in establishing strategic alliances for Lotus Development, working with partners such as DEC, IBM, HP, and SUN. From 1996 to 1998, Bob worked at IBM as the Senior Director of Service Business Development, overseeing support revenue generation and managing a global business development organization.

In 1998, Bob joined Baan as the Vice President of Support Product Marketing, where they were responsible for the global development and marketing of support and service offerings for Baan ERP products. Bob also managed alliances and partnerships with software and hardware vendors to ensure comprehensive product support coverage.

From 2000 to 2002, Bob served as the Vice President of Business Development at Habama, where they developed and implemented strategic alliances with companies such as HP, Dell, and Ernst & Young Technologies to grow market share for Habama's hosted internet content/collaboration software tool.

Bob continued their career at HP Enterprise Services from 2002 to 2010, holding positions including Senior Marketing Director and Senior Director of Marketing. In these roles, they worked on transformation and re-positioning initiatives, leading marketing efforts to re-position service desk and on-site services, and coordinating strategic shifts in product management and product marketing.

In 2011, Bob joined American Flyers as a Certified Flight Instructor, providing flight instruction for all levels of proficiency and teaching in a classroom environment. From 2017 to 2021, they served as the Director of the Certified Flight Instructor Academy at US Sport Aircraft. Finally, in 2021, Bob retired from the workforce after running a Flight Instructor Academy at Thrust Flight Academy, where they graduated 640 candidates who have gone on to careers in aviation.

Bob Choate attended Bentley University - McCallum Graduate School of Business from 1976 to 1979, where they obtained a Master of Science in Finance (MSF) with a focus on Business & Finance.
