Jim Broadus

Jim Broadus has held various engineering roles over the past 25 years. Jim began their career in 1996 as a Software Engineer at Orbtek. In 2000, they moved to Digeo as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2009, they joined ARRIS as a Principal Software Engineer and Technical Lead on the Platform Systems Team for embedded Linux video products. During their time at ARRIS, they were responsible for operating system, bootloader, security, manufacturing and RMA support, and hardware bring-up. Jim also traveled to China multiple times per year to support manufacturing lines for new products. In 2015, they joined Stack Lighting as a Senior Firmware Engineer. In 2017, they moved to Xevo Inc. as a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer. Most recently, in 2021, they joined ThruWave Inc. as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer.

Jim Broadus obtained their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Utah in 1997. In 2015, they obtained a certification in Embedded & Real-Time Systems Programming from the University of Washington.
