Laurel Terlesky

Laurel Terlesky is a seasoned UX/UI Design Manager currently working at Mozilla and the Thunderbird Project since February 2024. Previously, Laurel held various leadership roles at TELUS Digital from May 2016 to July 2023, including Manager of the Design Centre of Excellence, where management of a nine-member team facilitated the creation of digital design standards and programs focused on UX research and accessibility. Laurel's extensive experience also includes roles as Visual Design Lead and Senior Visual Designer at TELUS, as well as work at Ubertus.org Inc. collaborating on large-scale digital projects for notable institutions like UCLA. Additionally, Laurel has had roles in education as a Program Advisor at Emily Carr University, a Continuing Education Instructor at Quest University Canada, and a New Media Instructor at BCIT, while also contributing as an Art Director and Motion Graphics Designer for corporate events with POV Works. Laurel holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Plymouth and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Victoria.
