Eric Avis has extensive experience in the field of system engineering and software development. Eric began their career as a Database Administrator at Lockheed Martin in 2004, where they specialized in database merges and updates. Eric then transitioned to the role of Systems Engineer, focusing on requirements analysis and management. In this capacity, Eric was responsible for system definition, specification changes, requirements traceability, and test procedures. Eric also gained experience in model-driven architectural design. In 2013, Eric joined L-3 Communications Systems – East as a System Engineer, where they worked on naval voice and secure communication systems, including upgrades and enhancements to the Integrated Voice Communication System (IVCS). Eric'swork involved VoIP, Radio Nets, Conference Nets, and interoperability with other voice and data systems. In 2016, Eric joined Thunderbolt Software LLC as a System Software Engineer, analyzing change impacts to function and code. Eric also played a role in Bid & Proposal, Basis of Estimates, and responding to RFPs. Eric's experience also includes requirement analysis, test plan development, and test execution.

Eric Avis attended Clarkson University from 1999 to 2004, where they obtained both a Bachelor of Science (BS) and an MBA. Eric focused their studies on Management Information Systems and Innovation and New Venture Management. In October 2015, Eric also obtained the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
