Sandile Mkono

Sandile Mkono, MBA, currently serves as the Senior Manager of Enterprise and Supplier Development at Thungela, focusing on developing standards, managing budgets, and overseeing beneficiary performance. Prior to this role, Sandile held the position of Relationship Manager for SME and ESD at Absa Group, where responsibilities included conducting credit risk assessments, fostering stakeholder relationships, and supporting emerging businesses in North West Province. Previously, as an Enterprise Development Officer at Kuyasa Mining, Sandile contributed to the sustainability of SMMEs through business planning and access to procurement opportunities. Sandile holds an MBA in Financial Analysis and Reporting, along with degrees in Economics and Commerce from the University of the Western Cape and University of South Africa.
