Greg Bates is a highly experienced Senior Interior Designer currently working at THW Design since January 2020, where notable projects include the renovation of The Cedars of Chapel Hill and the campus expansion for Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Community. Prior to this role, Bates served as Principal/Owner at Citizndesign, completing significant renovations for Marriott Cancun and the Hotel Clermont in Atlanta. Bates's extensive background includes positions such as Senior Project Designer at BLUR Workshop, where projects like the Virgin Hotel Nashville Model Room were managed, and Senior Associate at HBA/Hirsch Bedner Associates, focusing on lead generation and project management. Bates's earlier career included roles with Rhycof Design Associates and Joseph P. Perry Associates, contributing to workplace and luxury office design while implementing CAD systems and standards. Education includes completion of five years of the AIA Internship Program toward an Architecture licensure.
