Senior Director, Diverse-Serving Institutions (DSI) Strategy & Engagement

Jayla Johnson is a results-oriented strategic thinker and Senior Director at TIAA, where they lead the Diverse-Serving Institutions Strategy & Engagement team, focusing on Historically Black Colleges & Universities and Hispanic-Serving Institutions. Previously, Jayla held various roles, including Vice President at JPMorgan Chase in the Community & Business Development Finance group, where they served as a strategic partner and finance expert. Jayla's earlier experience includes working with USAID in the Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance and the District of Columbia Government as a Capital City Fellow. They are currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Development Economics and International Development at The London School of Economics and Political Science while holding a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Michigan.
