Michael Balcerek

Michael Balcerek is currently the Director of Accounting Policy at TIAA, where they maintain asset management and broker-dealer accounting policies while also supervising the creation of accounting polices for TIAA Bank. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Senior Manager, Accounting Policy, overseeing various financial reporting responsibilities, including writing over 80 technical accounting memos. Their extensive experience includes roles at Wachovia Corporation and Bank of America, where they provided critical financial analysis and reporting support. Michael earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Duquesne University and a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg.
