Swatee Singh, PhD, currently serves as the CIO for Data, AI, and Corporate Tech and EVP, Chief Data and AI Officer at TIAA since July 2022, focusing on enhancing enterprise data and AI strategies. Prior to TIAA, Swatee was the Managing Director for CIO Enterprise Data Platforms at Barclays from June 2020 to July 2022, where responsibilities included developing next-generation technology and data capabilities in a hybrid, multi-cloud environment. Swatee also held the position of Vice President and Distinguished Architect at American Express from October 2011 to May 2020, leading machine learning transformations and advocating for democratizing machine learning within the organization. Earlier career experiences include managerial roles at PwC Consulting and McKinsey & Company, as well as research assistance at Duke University Medical Center. Swatee holds a PhD in Machine Learning from Duke University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology, alongside completing the High Potentials Leadership Program at Harvard Business School.
