Vinay Kumar

Vinay Kumar is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at TIAA, where they build speech understanding systems utilizing speech-to-text and LLMs. With over five years of experience in developing machine learning algorithms for NLP, speech, and computer vision, Vinay has a strong background in modern deep learning architectures using PyTorch and TensorFlow. They have previously held roles at BOOM Interactive Inc., Meeami Technologies, and flash.ai, among others. Vinay's research includes developing low-footprint neural networks and investigating the neural activities of the mammalian brain. They earned a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from North Carolina State University.
