Wayne McClain

Wayne McClain is the Associate General Counsel, Managing Director, and Head of Pension Law at TIAA Financial Services, where they focus on retirement benefit plans and ERISA compliance. They lead a team of attorneys dedicated to addressing tax and ERISA issues and have extensive experience as a senior ERISA attorney in both national law firms and insurance companies. Prior to joining TIAA, Wayne served as Senior ERISA Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Lincoln Financial Group, and has held significant roles at American International Group, as well as in higher education, directing benefits plan administration for major universities. Wayne graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, a Juris Doctor from the Indiana University - Robert H. McKinney School of Law, and an LLM in Employee Benefits from The John Marshall Law School.
