Kenan S.

President and Founder at TIAX

Kenan S. has a diverse and extensive work experience. Kenan has been the President and Founder of CAMX Power since 2015, where they led the company in developing high-energy density cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries. Kenan also licensed the production of these materials to BASF and Johnson Matthey. Prior to CAMX Power, Kenan was the President and Founder of TIAX since 2001, where they acquired the assets of Arthur D Little's Technology and Innovation unit and hired many former employees of the company. Kenan has been a Life Member Board at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology since 2003 and a Member of the Executive Committee at the Council on Competitiveness since 2004. Kenan served as a Board Member at Argonne National Laboratory from 2009 to 2015, during which the laboratory received a significant grant from the US Department of Energy for advanced battery research. Kenan also held leadership positions at Lucent Technologies and its Bell Labs division, and founded Kenan Systems in 1982 while on the faculty at MIT Sloan School. Kenan began their career as a faculty member at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and MIT. Overall, Kenan has a strong background in technology innovation and leadership.

Kenan S. pursued an SB degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, followed by their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
