Ronan Barrett

Ronan Barrett currently serves as the Head of Cloud and Platform at Tibber, a position held since October 2023. Prior to this role, Ronan held various leadership positions at Voi Technology, including Head of Cloud Infrastructure, Lead Platform Engineer, and Lead Backend Developer from February 2020 to October 2023. Ronan also worked at Sandvik CODE as Lead Backend Engineer/Manager and Senior Software Engineer between September 2018 and February 2020. Previous experience includes roles at Accedo.tv as Software Engineering Lead, Infinera as Principal Systems Design Engineer, and Ericsson AB, where research focused on Model Driven Software Development and semantic technologies. Additional early career roles include programming positions at Xilinx, Labyrinth Esat BT, Av-Edge, and Cyrona Software. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Computer Science from Technological University Dublin and a PhD in Model Driven Development from Dublin City University.
