Director Of Engineering - Data & AI And Fraud at Tide

Chanchal Singh has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Engineering - Data & AI, Fraud at Tide since July 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Engineering - Data and Machine Learning at Tide from March 2022 to July 2023.

In 2019, Chanchal served as a Board Member at MathsInDepth, where they contributed their expertise in a leadership capacity.

Chanchal founded DataQua9t in April 2022 and held the position of Founder and Director until July 2023.

Chanchal worked at Tavisca, a cxLoyalty Technology Platform (Division of JP Morgan Chase & Co.), from October 2019 to March 2022. Chanchal initially served as the Head - Data and AI Engineering Practice, where they played a pivotal role in establishing and driving the Data Engineering and Technology Roadmap. Chanchal also headed multiple teams responsible for various projects and successfully migrated an on-premise application to AWS Cloud. Later, they were promoted as the VP Technology, where they continued to contribute significantly to various technological initiatives.

In addition to their commercial work experience, Chanchal is also the Founder & Speaker of Big Data AI Pune Meetup-Experience-Speaks, a community that provides free trainings, tech talks, and business talks to the Big Data, AI, and machine learning community. Chanchal served as the Founder & Speaker of this community from September 2018 to February 2022.

Chanchal worked as a Student Mentor at BITS Pilani Work Integrated Learning Programmes from January 2019 to January 2021, supporting and guiding students in their learning journey.

From July 2018 to October 2019, Chanchal worked as a Software Engineering Lead at Exadatum Software Services Pvt. Ltd. Chanchal held multiple responsibilities, including managing client and internal product teams, developing robust product roadmaps, implementing data engineering pipelines, and driving internal product development practices.

Chanchal also gained experience at Freecharge as a Lead Software Development Engineer from March 2018 to June 2018, and as a Senior Software Engineer from November 2017 to March 2018. Before that, they briefly worked as an Assistant Guest Lecturer at Humber College in October-November 2017.

Their earlier experience includes working as a Software Engineer - Big Data & Product Development at DataMetica Solutions Private Limited from May 2015 to June 2017. DataMetica is a prominent Big Data analytics company focused on helping organizations derive value from their information assets.

Chanchal Singh holds a Master's Degree in Computer Application from Amity University. Prior to that, they attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where they were an Ecell - College Representative, focusing on Entrepreneurship. Chanchal completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai.
