James Garland

Information Security Risk Lead at Tide

James Garland has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. James began their career as a Research Assistant at The University of Manchester in 2013. James then worked as a Swimming Instructor at Thomas Cook in 2014 before becoming the Club President of the University of Manchester Athletic Union. In 2015, they joined Vodafone Global Enterprise as a Group Discover Graduate and continued working there until 2017 when they transitioned to Vodafone as a Cyber Security Solution Specialist. In 2019, they joined PwC as a Senior Associate, Cyber Assurance, and stayed with the company until 2020. Currently, they work at Tide, starting as an Information Security Analyst in 2020 and progressing to the roles of Senior Information Security Analyst and Security Governance Lead.

James Garland completed their Master's degree in Chemistry from The University of Manchester from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended The King Edward VI School in Morpeth from 2006 to 2011, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period.
