Sofia Tiano

Sofia Tiano is a dedicated scholar currently pursuing a PhD in Genomic and Experimental Medicine at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, building on a strong foundation in Molecular & Applied Biology from Università Politecnica delle Marche. Since October 2022, Sofia has been a PhD student at Tigem, following the role of Research Technician & Lab Manager, where management of the Biosafety Level 3 Facility was under the supervision of Dr. Cortese. Previous experience includes an internship in Virology at Ospedali Riuniti Ancona, focusing on SARS-CoV-2 variants, and roles in Structural Biology and Cell Biology where skills in various laboratory techniques and student mentoring were developed.
