Anthony Tam

Anthony Tam began their work experience in 2016 as a Category Management Co-op at Zebra Technologies. In 2017, they joined Darktrace as a Security Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Cyber Security Analyst. From 2020 to 2022, Anthony served as the Lead Developer for Threat Detection at Darktrace. In 2022, they joined Tigera as a Security Researcher and currently holds the position of Manager, Security Engineering. Tigera specializes in Cloud-Native Application Protection and is the creator of Calico Open Source, a widely used container networking and security solution.

Anthony Tam has a B.Eng.Mgt degree in Mechanical Engineering and Management from McMaster University. Anthony also participated in an International Exchange Program at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, focusing on Engineering, Business, and Product Design. In addition, they have obtained certifications as a Certified Calico Operator Level 1 from Tigera and in Python for Data Science from DataCamp.
