Josh Lucas has worked in the software engineering and development industry since 2009. Theirfirst job was at Entrust as a Software Verification Specialist. Josh then moved to Cloakware as a Junior Quality Assurance Specialist. In 2011, they joined Christie Digital Systems as a Software Developer, where they improved the performance of a Windows-based desktop application and developed commands for MicroTiles. In 2012, they worked at Magnum Semiconductor as a Software Engineer, where they added features to a Windows-based desktop application. In 2013, they joined Cisco as a Junior Software Engineer and worked their way up to Senior Software Engineer. During their time at Cisco, they worked on LLVM compiler instrumentation, authored patent applications, interviewed and mentored new team members, and lead an effort to translate external protobuf-based messages into internal YANG/Xpath-based configuration database. In 2022, they joined Tigera as a Senior Software Engineer, where they work on empowering organizations to secure, observe, and troubleshoot containers, Kubernetes, and cloud.
Josh Lucas completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo between 2008 and 2013.
