Peter Kelly

Peter Kelly has a long and varied work experience. Peter began their career in 2004 as an Applications Developer at Irish Life & Permanent, where they developed bespoke line-of-business apps and online banking solutions. In 2009, they became a Software Engineer at Snap-On, where they developed a reliable, secure and robust software update mechanism. In 2011, they worked as a Software Engineer at Quest Software and as a Manager & Lead Software Design Engineer at Big Fish, where they were responsible for designing scalable and highly-available services and managing a group of engineers. In 2013, they became a Software Engineering Manager and Site Lead at Arts Alliance Media. In 2014, they became a Software Development Manager at VCE, the Virtual Computing Environment Company, where they were the Product Owner for two scrum teams developing solutions for their converged infrastructure platform. In 2015, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Teamwork.com, where they worked on their SaaS Helpdesk product. In 2016, they became a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Spirent Communications. In 2021, they became the Site Leader & Director of Engineering for EMEA HQ at Tigera, where they provide the industry’s only active Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) with full-stack observability for containers, Kubernetes, and cloud.

Peter Kelly attended Munster Technological University from 2008 to 2011, graduating with a BSc in Computing. Peter then attended University College Dublin from 2011 to 2014, where they earned a Masters in Advanced Software Engineering in the field of Computing.
