Derrick Lim is an experienced product and program manager currently overseeing the development of a 24/7 customer service platform at TikTok since November 2021. Previously, Derrick served as a Program Manager focused on strategies related to violent and graphic content to ensure user safety on the platform. Derrick also worked as a Data Product Specialist, leading research and A/B testing for automatic image tagging solutions utilizing machine learning. Prior to TikTok, Derrick was an Associate in Strategy & Research at the Ministry of Finance in Singapore, where responsibilities included leading the Cost of Living topic and advising the Singapore Cabinet on policy recommendations. Derrick holds a Master of Philosophy in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Warwick, with additional training from General Assembly.
