Joel Lim

Joel Lim is a highly qualified professional currently serving as an Algorithm Engineer Intern at TikTok since August 2025, focusing on multimodal large language models for the Global e-Commerce team. Prior experience includes a role as a Data Scientist Intern at GovTech Singapore, where impactful work in the Multimodal AI team was accomplished using advanced vision-language models. Earlier, Joel interned at DSO National Laboratories, contributing to the design and fabrication of multifocal reflectarray antennas, which earned recognition at notable science and engineering fairs. Joel Lim is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Singapore Management University, maintaining an exceptional academic record.
