Ran Sun

Ran Sun is a data scientist at TikTok, with previous experience as co-founder of TiaraCon, an inclusive platform for the InfoSec community. Ran has contributed to various roles including security threat intelligence investigator and information security manager at PayPal, where tools for investigating criminal activities were developed. With a strong academic background, Ran holds two master’s degrees, one in Cyber/Computer Forensics and Information Security and another in Accounting with a concentration in Internal Auditing, both from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, complemented by a bachelor's degree in Accounting. Additionally, Ran has engaged in various volunteer and leadership positions, including serving as president of CTF@UAB, focused on cybersecurity education.
