Si Chen

Si Chen is a seasoned expert in machine learning and recommendation systems, currently serving as the Head of Video Recommendation at TikTok. Previously, Si held key roles at ByteDance, where they led a team that significantly enhanced Douyin's recommendation algorithm, driving daily active users from 150 million to 600 million. Earlier experience includes positions as a Software Engineer at Facebook, working on news feed ranking, and a Research Intern at Microsoft. Si also contributed to computer vision and machine learning as a Research Assistant at UC San Diego, where they obtained a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, following a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Science and Technology of China.
