Yang Lu

Yang Lu is an experienced research scientist currently serving as a Tech Lead Manager at TikTok, focusing on ecommerce recommendation systems for videos, live content, and products. Previously, Yang worked as a Machine Learning Scientist at Amazon from 2017 to 2018, where they developed classification systems using deep learning models. From 2018 to 2023, Yang was a Research Scientist at Facebook, working on computer vision-based video projects involving object detection, classification, and augmented reality. Yang holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Statistics from the University of California, Los Angeles, earned in 2017.
